Here's the big hole Travis dug to get all of the nasty caliche out before planting the Shantung maple. Bailey enjoyed getting in the hole.
We have green grass! We also have three more trees in the yard. Beside the maple (shadow on the lower part of the picture) we got a Bur Oak (see the trunk in the upper right hand of this picture) and an American Elm for the backyard. I'll have to get more tree pictures later. 
Notice the white stone wall as compared to the dirty wall in the picture above. A power washer works miracles.
