Weight gain slowing down!

They say that an average woman should gain 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy. That being said, I was a little concerned at my appointment three weeks ago when I had already gained 26 lbs. Would I get up to Travis's weight of 175 lbs? At that rate, I was sure to. I do not want to weigh the same or more than my husband!

Today, at my 30 week appointment, I weighed in at 156.4 lbs, so I only gained 0.4 lbs in three weeks! With 10 weeks to go, I'm sure I'll continue to gain weight, but hopefully not as fast as I did in my first and second trimesters!

To answer some comments: No, we didn't find out the gender of the baby. It will be a huge surprise! Travis was rubbing my belly, saying "hum in a-hum in a-BOY!" Now he says "hum in a-hum in a-Helper!" Most people tell me that I'm having a boy. So far we really only have girl names picked out. Travis is trying to convince me that Bailey is a good boy's name, but I think that boy would get made fun of.

I'll have to post Travis's project soon. It is one he has been working very hard on to finish before the baby arrives.

12 Weeks to Go!

What a belly! I can't imagine getting bigger, but I know to expect it. I've gained 26 pounds as of my 27 week appointment. My back is sure feeling it! I think I may have to break down and buy one of those full body maternity pillows.

Decision Made!

After getting several opinions, I finally decided to go with the Barnyard theme. I was actually more at ease with the decision after returning the A-Z quilt and mobile to Pottery Barn... mostly because that stuff is really expensive and I'm not!

Travis and his dad painted the room last week. We still have the euro rail to paint and put up (like a chair rail, but at 2'-0" below the ceiling) and the baseboards need a fresh coat of paint, but that is about it! Then comes the furniture (which I still need to order).

Thank you Gary!
