Pre-Memorial Day Fun

We had two Pre-Memorial Day parties to go to today. Bailey and I made a spinach strawberry salad for one of the parties. Bailey sliced all of the strawberries for me with an egg slicer (which is my newly discovered favorite tool that I've had for a long time and never used - it is great for slicing mushrooms too!).

Bailey was freaking out in Tony's pool when we were trying to teach him how to float on his back. Now, at John's pool, he didn't have any fear at all. I think John doing cannonballs off the diving board helped a little.

Bumper Continued...

Travis didn't want it to rain on the bumper while was working on it, but it did. It's nothing that a little sand blasting won't fix.

Those holes are for lights in the bumper.
Here's a plate that is going on the back to keep the muck out of the lights.

This is the bottom on an air dam that Travis made.

This is the project that doesn't end...

Train Puzzle

After we got home from the zoo Bailey put together several floor puzzles: a USA puzzle, a number train and an alphabet train. Then he took the trains on trips around the living room.

M.O.L.A.

Bailey and I went to see the new M.O.L.A. (Museum of Living Art) exhibit at the Fort Worth Zoo today. This was a giant python!
You can see B's dilated eye really good in this picture. This exhibit was dark and worked out well with his freshly dilated eye.

Bailey loved this seemingly friendly lizard and the poisonous frogs.

Bailey's favorite part of M.O.L.A. was a zookeeper in one of the life size displays who was feeding the giant lizards snails and who was cleaning the windows. No, I did not take a picutre of him! Of course we HAD to ride the train!

Here's B with a blimp (flying over because of the Colonial).

Holland Lake

After Bailey's eye appointment today we stopped by Holland Lake, hoping to feed the ducks. Well, there wasn't a single duck to be seen. Bailey and I walked around the lake while talking to Grandma Gloe. Bailey is posing for Grandma here. "Hi Grandma!"

Then we swang for a little bit before calling it quits. It was a little hot for Mommy, who was wearing jeans!

Fun Night with B's Buddy

Austin spent the night tonight. It was the first time he has spent the night since Bailey got his big boy bed. Austin was just about asleep while I was still tucking Bailey in.

Here's Bailey singing. Austin thinks he is too loud.

Vacuum

Bailey really wanted to vacuum tonight. If only his vacuum would work a little better.

Update: On June 13th, Bailey's handle snapped off his vacuum. The hand vac still works, but I think the next one he will get will be a real vacuum cleaner.

Booster Booty

I took Bailey's booster chair off and put it in his closet for storage. Bailey got it out today and strapped it on. Travis had him hold his hands up so you can see what he did. What a goof!

Library Sale and the Park

It was half price day at the library book sale today, so it was really crowded. Bailey was a great sport, so we went to a local park.

There was a playground area for kids, but Bailey liked this area better. It was more of a military style workout area. He started to climb a big rope net wall, but I had to pull him down before he got too high! Here he is doing tricks.

Super Goon and Robot Dance

Here's Super Goon. Bailey and Travis had been going back and forth with "super goon" and "just B" for several minutes by the time I got the camera. That's why he starts out in the video by saying "Stop." I love these videos. I hope you do too.

Here's robot dancing.

Mother's Day Flowers

These flower are "from" Bailey. He got out of the car with them after shopping with Gary and Sylvie on Mother's Day. He walked up to me and said "Happy Mother's Day." Bailey is such a sweet little boy. I love him!

Loading Rocks

Travis fixed his tractor tonight and started moving rocks from our neighbor's yard over to another pile. Bailey wanted to help too, so he got his dump truck, loaded it up and moved the rocks to the other pile also. The next day, when Travis was using the backhoe, Bailey wanted him to fill up his dump truck with the backhoe.

Following in the Footsteps of his Daddy

Bailey is watching Papa sleep with a drink in hand, just waiting for Papa to spill the drink on himself. This fun game hasn't changed since Daddy was a little boy.
Bailey has already inherited Laser Tag, Transformers and a few Stars Wars toys from Travis, but the Lego's and other Star Wars were still in the attic. Uncle Chuck gave him a few sets yesterday, so Bailey and I opened them up and started playing with them today. Daddy couldn't resist and got his Legos down too (along with giant Star Wars toys and C3PO and Darth Vader boxes filled with ALL of the action figures).

Travis was up past 2:00 AM working on various Lego concoctions. Bailey enjoyed them when he woke up and is now obsessed with Legos, along with trains.

Andrew's Circus Birthday Party

Here are several pictures of Andrew's great circus birthday party. It's hard to imagine that this was a scaled down version. It was complete with a train obstacle course, popcorn machine, hot dogs, cotton candy and much more! Everyone had a great time!

Travis noticed that Avery likes to pose for the camera. Here's one shot. B getting attacked at the end of the train.

Bailey says "do it again!"

The birthday boy himself and Avery posing.

Avery posing by Andrew's cake.

Travis tried out the obstacle course.

and after few tries, so did Papa.

I think this is a sweet picture of Andrew. Happy Birthday!!!

The Snake and the Bird

Travis found a smooth green snake (aka grass snake) today. Bailey really liked it. He understands that some snakes are dangerous and to get away if he sees one outside in the yard.
Camouflage

Our neighbor found this bird. I, the one-time "bird lady" have no clue what kind of bird this is. If anyone knows, let me know.

Crazy Hair

Last night Bailey asked me to "hand dry" his hair instead of towel drying it or blow drying it. It was very fluffy when we went to bed. This is what it looked like when he woke up. He did NOT want his picture taken.
