Birthday Cupcakes

Today we picked up some cupcakes from Ultimate Cupcake and had several late birthday celebrations. Every time we ate a cupcake, Bailey wanted candles and the birthday song.

Ride Home - Some People Shouldn't be on the Road

This old man was holding back traffic on the way home. I think he thought he was doing us a favor, but he was throwing up rocks. What if there were a stalled car on the shoulder on the other side of this hill?

Bailey found a good place to park his MicroMachines.

What a goof!

Early Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Bailey's 4th birthday a little early. We first headed to Palo Duro Canyon for some hiking. He likes to talk about the layers in the rock.

This is a picture at the beginning of the cave that I used to go through in high school. It wasn't exactly how I remembered it, mostly because of erosion at the end of the cave. Now you can hike out of it, while I used to have to scale up a tunnel about 15 - 20 feet straight up to get out.

B, Grandpa and Daddy.

Bailey says "There's a crack in it."

He's nuts.

We had pizza, cake and opened presents, then headed to the bowling alley.

B and Grandma Gloe.

Bailey, Lillie & Payton.

Here's Bailey bowling. He was so excited every time he knocked a pin down. We did find out that he was only good for one game, as he was ready to go home.

Christmas

Bailey got to watch some TV while we were in Amarillo (ours still isn't connected). He is in a trance...

Working on his new truck.

Posing...

Yes, that is a cat in the rabbit cage.

Water bottle fight with Brice.

Posing again.

Christmas Eve

At Grandma Dawndee and Grandpa Tommy's house, B got a new train tunnel, among other things. They make it really difficult to get toys out of the packaging these days.

Be playing with his favorite toy at Grandma's house

Playing with the cousins! Who new that sticker labels could be so fun?

Handsome Guy

Travis didn't have any nice jeans to wear in Amarillo (his were all torn, stained and tattered, similar to the awful jeans that are sold as new these days... no, we are not "hip") so we headed to JCPenney before heading out of town. Bailey tried on a hat while we were waiting on Travis. Bailey is such a handsome little guy!

Electric Guitar

Bailey got to open up his big present tonight. He doesn't have to play the air guitar anymore!

Eclipse Pictures

Travis used the lunar eclipse as an opportunity to test out my little Canon Powershot, hooked up to the telescope.

Bible Activities

Last week we read the story of Noah. Here are a few pictures of Bailey posing with his ark that he made.

After we read about Elijah and the raven, Bailey made this raven server. He used it to bring the lunch meat to the table.

Pomegranate

Bailey wanted to eat a pomegranate today. I haven't had much luck cutting them up in the past and was hesitant about doing it now. Bailey says, "Well, let's watch a video of it." So, we watched a video of how to cut up a pomegranate, then had some fun getting out the tasty seeds.

What I Came Home From Work to Find

Grandpa Hughes bought Bailey some Nerf dart guns as an early Christmas present. I came home from work and found myself to be a target for two little boys.
