Fort Progress/Rebar for Fish Tape???

The fort is coming along. There is still work to do. If you look closely, you can see a little monkey in these two pictures.

We had flood lights on all of the corners of our house except for by the playground area, which was nearly impossible to put in due to our vaulted ceilings. Since a fish tape wouldn't get to where we needed it, Travis drilled a hole in the fascia board and stuck a piece of rebar through. It worked! Now we have light all around the house so we can stay outside after sunset to work and play.

Two colored ladybug

This two colored ladybug was flying around inside our house today. He really liked to walk around on Batman.

We caught the ladybug and put him/her on Bailey's tractor. Here is Bailey telling the ladybug "Goodbye!"

Another Fort

Bailey and Travis picked up another "fort" today. Here is how Travis unloaded it off the trailer and set it upright.

Puzzle Day

Of course he has to start making silly faces for the camera.

Puzzle

Bailey was all puzzled out for several months. He has really been into them the past couple of days. Tonight he is back to putting together 48 piece puzzles all by himself. I love watching him do puzzles. He usually finds a spot he wants to fill, then glances over the pieces until he see one that matches. I can see those little gears turning.

Bumper/Winch Project (continued)

Travis rarely takes pictures of his projects (and I'm usually the one taking the pictures). He took lots of pictures of this one, then I THOUGHT I lost my camera before they were downloaded. Thank the Lord, I found it, so now I have lots of pictures of the latest phase of the bumper/winch project.

This phase is the electrical box for the front bumper lights and future back bumper lights. Here is the wiring schematic.

He drew up the whole box in 3D cad. Here are the flat parts that he designed and had water jetted. We bought a 48" sheet metal break so he could make the bends.

This is a series of pictures that shows the process of putting the box together. This is definitely not an "out of the box" project. This is as custom as it gets.

This last picture shows the complete box. Next comes installation...

You Can't Touch This

Several years ago Mindy got Travis a father's day card that played the song "You Can't Touch This". Ever since then, Bailey has loved that card. Tonight after we ate he broke out in song and dance (unprompted) to that song.

Later he found the card and danced in his room.

Sack of Me-tatoes

What B said tonight after I through him over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

Bailey's Backpack

When we got back from camping, the first thing we ordered was a backpack for Bailey. It's time for him to carry his own weight. Bailey waited anxiously for his backpack to arrive, as it was on backorder. Today it finally arrived and it was hard to get him to take it off!
