Night Out in Fort Worth (Mommy's Idea of a Good Time?)

We had our first family night out in downtown Fort Worth Friday night. It wasn't your typical night out though.

We started out at the Fort Worth Convention Center greeting delegates as they came in to vote at the Texas Straw Poll. The volunteers said that Bailey was the youngest supporter they had seen all day! "Babies (our future) for Ron Paul!"

Then we walked through the Water Gardens, then headed to 8.0 to sit on the patio, eat and listen to good music.

Next we headed to the big Ron Paul party at the Worthington, complete with live music, an auction and a speech by Ron Paul.

Then we stood in line to get our picture with Ron Paul.

Still waiting... Almost there.

We finally get there and the flash didn't go off! Oh well.

Fun with Daddy

Bailey's big head broke one of his pair of glasses, so Daddy tried these on for size.

Daddy also captured this video. Bouncing has gone to a new level when Bailey is within reaching range of toys!

Belize Shirt (for Lindsey)

Because of a special request from my dear sister, here is a picture of Bailey in his Belize shirt that she bought for him.

Bailey has been getting up on his hands and knees lately, but no real crawling yet.

First Tooth

After months of anticipation and lots of drooling, Bailey's first tooth finally broke through the surface today! It's barely there, so it didn't show up in pictures, but this first shot is priceless!

LOL!!!

Little Jumper

Little Talker

Bailey has been talking a lot this weekend, in what sounds like it could be sentences in his language. If only we could understand what he is saying!

This is my first video to post! I'll be posting more soon.

1st Tractor Ride

Yard Project

Travis is still working on the front yard too, but this is where you can see most of the work. He is still digging in the neighbor's yard so that they have a usable yard.

He is putting the dirt in our yard where his future shop will go. He has moved a lot of dirt and rock with that little tractor!

He's using the bucket as a drum.

This is his Elvis look.

It's really not that bad!

Those were Travis's words when tasting Bailey's food. When I started laughing Travis realized the cereal was mixed with mommy's milk.

Trip to the Summit

A 3.5 day trip without my boys? It was so hard for me to leave. I missed them so much! Thank goodness for cell phones. I talked to Travis and Bailey often on the trip.

What a crazy trip! Me and 30 fellow employees got on a charter bus and headed out of Fort Worth at 9:00 PM Wednesday night. We drove all night and after a little detour in the Denver suburbs, we finally arrived in Estes Park Thursday afternoon. We thought we were going on a 7.4 mile hike on Friday, but before the hike we learned that it was closer to 9.5 miles. It was a great hike and everyone finished!

We voted to leave at 1:00 AM instead of 6:00 AM so that we could get back our families around 6:00 PM instead of 11:00 PM. Well, around 2:30 AM the bus broke down. By morning we were still sitting there on the side of a busy road NW of Denver. The bosses (who were still back in Estes Park) made the decision to fly us all back to DFW.

Most of us were back in Fort Worth at or before 6:00 PM. Colorado was beautiful, but there is nothing better than being home, especially with Travis and Bailey. I missed them so much!

Back in Texas

This sign would look much better if the bottom portion was left off.

I don't want it. You suck on it!

Little Swimmer

Bailey went swimming for the first time today. He swam in the indoor pool at the Hampton Inn in Midwest City, OK. He had a blast. He went under twice with no crying. I showed him how to splash (which may not be a good thing), so then he just kept hitting the water with his hand. We can't wait to go swimming again!
About to get in!

Lenny's Wedding in OKC

On August 4th we headed to OKC for Lenny and CeCe's wedding. It was the first time Bailey had ever gone to another state.

Posing before the wedding.

What are they doing up there? That guy sings really good!

The happy couple.

Bailey and all of the girl cousins.

Bailey, the party animal.

All pooped out!

Congratulations Lenny and CeCe! We pray you have a blessed life together!
