Ride the Moose

I got this toy out last night and tried to show Bailey how to ride it. He kept sitting on the stick and falling down. I came home from work today and Bailey was galloping and saying "Yee Haw!" I'm sure it was a sight to see Travis teaching him.

Riding a Tiny Tractor

"Where's my riding tractor? I think it's outside. This one will do!"
"Maybe not."

Aunt Lindsey and Grandma Dawn

Lindsey stayed with us Friday night. Lindsey told us about some functions on the camera that we didn't know about. I thought this one Travis took looked pretty neat.

Grandma Dawn stayed with us Saturday night. Here's Bailey helping her load up the car on Sunday.

Pancakes for dinner... with salt

Bailey thought this big stack of pancakes was all for him. He sprinkled a little salt on top, but not a whole lot, thank goodness.

Tuesday... On our way home with a pit stop in OKC

More cows.
And MORE cows. These were the youngest cows. They liked Bailey the best.

Stopped in OKC to see Lenny. He was coaching basketball, so we stuck around for practice then went to eat at Chelino's Mexican Restaurant.

Monday

With Great-Grandma and Aunt Charity.
Saying goodbye to Great-Grandpa and Uncle Brad. They have to go harvest crops.
Sweet picture.

We headed to Marshfield to split up the long car ride home. Bailey is a HOT sleeper. He had sweat beads on his nose and his hair was really wet, while I sat next to him shivering.

Ooooooo (Bailey words). More cows at Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Donna's house.
Chillin' with Darin and Leslie.

Sunday in Shelbyville

Between my camera and Aunt Trina's camera, we have a lot of pictures from today at Grandma & Grandpa Wilt's house.
Loving on Great-Grandma Wilt. How sweet!

Meeting Toby.

Watching Great-Grandpa work. One of the big boys... watching video games.

Bailey and Mommy.
Sitting on the four wheeler.
This is a little tractor, but still MUCH bigger than Daddy's.
Little pointer.
Wine opener - reckneck style (wood screw and pliers). We thought it was unique, but a neighbor says "I've done that before." Hmmmm.....

Car Problems... Headed to Shelbyville

I've been having some car problems for a few months. I had a transmission fluid flush a couple weeks ago. It helped a little, but my car doesn't do well with the rolling Missouri hills. It jerks when accelerating and going up hills, but it's not throwing any codes. Very weird. Travis changed the transmission filter today before we headed to Shelbyville. There's nothing worse than car problems when you're 600 miles from home.

We headed to Shelbyville Saturday night.

P.S. Since we arrived home, the car is acting much better... for now.

Cows... Close Up & Big Tree

We live off of a ranch road, so we drive by cows, horses and donkeys everyday. We just don't get to see them close up. The cows finally came in from the pasture today, so Bailey got to get a good look.

Waving to a cow.

Mooing with Daddy.

Trying to climb the big maple tree.

Stone Hill Winery

We headed to Stone Hill Winery on Saturday morning. It was good that we got there early. Oktoberfest was going on in Hermann, so the whole town turned into a big tourist attraction. We did the tour and tasting and felt more like locals than tourists. Some of the tourists were a little strange and had probably started drinking before the tour started at 10:30 AM.
Susan was working and took this family photo for us.

Brewery and Family Gathering

The combine ride wore Bailey out, so we went back to the house so he could take a nap. When he woke up, we headed to Tin Mill Brewing Company. Then we went back to the house for a big family gathering. I didn't realize until I was scrolling through the pictures on our way to Shelbyville that I didn't take many pictures. I think it was because Uncle Ken was taking pictures and video of the whole thing (send me some pictures please!!!).
Bailey played with toy tractors with just about everyone. He especially liked playing with Susan, Justin, Alex and Emma. He felt like a big kid. He figured out that if he pulled apart a trailer for the truck, Aunt Marsha would put it back together for him (so he did it over and over). He is really silly and a little conniving.
Here's Bailey and Aunt Donna. What color are tractors? RED!!! Boogers are green. (We may be getting in trouble for this)
Bailey getting tired with Uncle Ardel.

Combine Ride - Lunch at the Field

Bailey and I rode in the combine with Uncle Dale, then we got out and ate lunch. Bailey ate his own sandwich all by himself while standing the the back of the pickup truck (we usually have to hold it for him or cut it up). Then Bailey and Travis rode in the tractor until Bailey started nodding off.

Crazy face....

Let's try again....

Being silly in the combine.

First Trip to Missouri

I looked at my calendar a couple weeks ago and noticed I had several days off work coming up. It looked like the perfect opportunity to take Bailey on his first trip to Missouri to meet his extended family. Everyone was very welcoming despite the short notice. We stayed on three different farms on our journey. Bailey never did meet a stranger. He was pretty good during our six day trip.
One thing for sure: Bailey sure would love to be a farm boy!
We packed up my car and headed for Missouri on Oct. 16th. We first headed to Hermann and stayed with Uncle Harold and Aunt Geralyn.
P.S. Just a side note. Travis and I would randomly start singing a particular song during the 26 hours of driving on this trip. It's called "Come on Down to the Farm." It seemed fitting since we were staying on three different farms. A portion of the song is bumper music on a radio program we listen too, so I don't think I've ever heard the whole song until just now (googled it and saw a music video). It's a silly song that has finally exited our heads.

No Peanut Butter for Bailey

Travis and I LOVE peanut butter. It's strange to have a kid that doesn't want to have anything to do with it.

Lake, Wolf & Kisses

Today was a good day. I worked from home from 6 AM to 8AM, took Bailey to Kindermusik, met some ladies from the Mom's Group at a coffee shop, then came back home and worked until 5 PM. I got a lot of work done, got all my hours in and was at home at 5 PM (instead of 6:30PM when I go into the office).
While Bailey was sleeping, Travis got everything ready for us to go canoeing on the lake. We live about 2 miles from a lake and had never been out on it until today. We got sprinkled on while we were out there, but we all had a great time. Bailey's favorite part was the ducks.
_
Another first today, Bailey was looking at a sportsman catalog and said "Wolf." You can guess what he was looking at. Crazy kid.
_
He also kissed both Travis and I on the lips without opening his mouth. He usually starts with his lips puckered then opens his mouth before giving a kiss.
