Bailey's Birthday

I took a day off work to spend it with Bailey on his birthday. Here's Bailey opening his percussion set.

Then we ran some errands. Petsmart was just about as much fun as going to the zoo!
We stopped by the fire station on the way home so Bailey could check out the fire trucks and so I could do some cake research.

Corn and Doll

Bailey touching his nose as usual went he is sleepy and "GMO Corn with the Googly Eyes." Imagine opening your eyes after a good night's sleep to see Corn and his googly eyes staring at you. It's a little scary. Travis has experienced this first hand.

And an Ipod to record my musical concoctions.This is a very cool toy. Austin, Bailey's best bud, liked it so much that his Mom and Dad got one for him too. It has reggae, rock, jazz, rap and techno versions of various kid songs! I just wish it had country versions. Travis is glad it doesn't.

E-I-E-I-O and Walkie Talkies

Yes, it has been a while. I'm slowly back posting pictures, but this was too good not to share now. Bailey's letter of the day was E. He kept saying it, so I'd go show him examples so he could relate it to what he was saying. He was even pointing the letter E out of an alphabet line up. Travis started singing E-I-E-I-O, then Bailey did the same.

Travis is working on some wiring, so we were using walkie talkies. Bailey got his baby monitor so he could pretend to talk.

Party at Austin's House

James and Jennifer invited several people over tonight. What a delicious feast! Here is Bailey and Austin reading. Bailey really liked this construction book.

One of the little girls at the party took off her shoes. Austin enjoyed walking around in them.

The Boys are Back!

It's been very quiet around the house. I came back home from Thanksgiving in Amarillo on Sunday without my boys because I had to go to work on Monday. Three days apart from them was very hard.

Travis was working on tile at his Dad's house and Bailey was hanging out with his Grandparents. I think he had a great time, but he would tear up when I'd call to tell him "goodnight." Very sad.

They finally came home tonight! My camera is back too, so I should be able to post some pictures this weekend.

Bailey was ready to play with his toys after the long drive home.

And "Star Wars" on the belt. Grandma Dawn sent three of Travis's old belts back. This one, an "Empire Strikes Back" belt and an "Indiana Jones" belt.

Medi Park and Discovery Center

Bailey had a fun day with his Grandmas today. First they played at the park. They had to pry him away to get him to go to the Discovery Center. Little did he know what fun was in store there.

Fun at Reagan's House

We got to see Claudia and Reagan today. When Bailey was getting out of the car, Reagan ran out of the house yelling "Bailey, Bailey!" She thinks Bailey is famous because of the blog. Bailey and Reagan played well together even though Reagan is over a year older. Reagan is so smart and sweet!

We went over to our neighbor's house to celebrate Tony's birthday and to have an early Thanksgiving feast. It appears Bailey really likes to play in the dog pens. He climbed right in and shut the door behind him.

Bailey usually wakes up when I go into his room. He was asleep for a long time, so I went in to check on him. He was sleeping with his hands behind his head. I got the camera, came back and he was still sleeping. I tried various settings with the camera (flash, no flash, portrait) and he STILL didn't wake up. He must have been really worn out.

This is Bailey's surprised face or his OOOOOO face. He knows I think it is cute, so he held it for a while.

I came home from work to find this booster seat in the chair. I asked Travis if he got it out of Bailey's closet and he said "No". Bailey was telling us that he wanted to sit a the table like a big boy.
