Well, the tractor needed more work than we imagined and Travis deemed the backhoe unstructurally sound. While working on the backhoe, Travis was straining his back, so he decided to build a welding table, complete with lots of storage for welding hoods, rods, & jackets.

Next, he was back on the backhoe! He designed his own hydraulic controls. Pictures: all the completed pieces of the hydraulic controls before assembly, backhoe fully extended, where the dipper will be connected (all machined by Travis himself), view from dipper looking up the backhoe.
