We got to see Claudia and Reagan today. When Bailey was getting out of the car, Reagan ran out of the house yelling "Bailey, Bailey!" She thinks Bailey is famous because of the blog. Bailey and Reagan played well together even though Reagan is over a year older. Reagan is so smart and sweet!

We went over to our neighbor's house to celebrate Tony's birthday and to have an early Thanksgiving feast. It appears Bailey really likes to play in the dog pens. He climbed right in and shut the door behind him.

Bailey usually wakes up when I go into his room. He was asleep for a long time, so I went in to check on him. He was sleeping with his hands behind his head. I got the camera, came back and he was still sleeping. I tried various settings with the camera (flash, no flash, portrait) and he STILL didn't wake up. He must have been really worn out.

I came home from work to find this booster seat in the chair. I asked Travis if he got it out of Bailey's closet and he said "No". Bailey was telling us that he wanted to sit a the table like a big boy.

Escape Artist

Today was the day. Travis and I were talking about Bailey and that he was soon going to escape from his crib. 5 minutes later, here he comes, walking into our room, holding his pillow. We didn't hear a thud at all. We later discovered a pile of blankets and stuffed animals on the floor next to his crib. However he landed, it must have been a soft one. We sure would have liked to have been a fly on the wall to see how he did it.

We officially converted the crib to a toddler bed today. We didn't buy the matching toddler rails that go with his bed, but this version seems to work fine (and was about $80 cheaper). Actually, until I showed Travis this one, he was determined to make a custom rail out of steel and a board.

Bailey's new place to play has been the couch, but he's usually standing or kneeling in front of it, with the seat covered in toys. Being on the couch and on the pillows is a new occurrence.

The little guy is scheming. I watched as he threw his blankets, pillow and stuffed animals over, so as to have a soft landing in the event that he successfully made it over.

Bailey knows Jesus

As I put Bailey in his bed for the night, I usually go through a list of people who love him.... Mommy and Daddy, Grandmas and Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles, Bailey's cousins, and Jesus. Tonight I was holding him in my arms, rocking side to side as I went through the list. He was very tired and looked like he was going to fall asleep in my arms. When I said "Jesus loves you" he perked up, grinned really big and pointed up. It brought tears to my eyes.
