Happy Boy (Hi Grandmas!!!)

These are posted just for Bailey's Grandmas, who miss him dearly. Grandma Gloe has been checking the blog twice a day with hopes of seeing a new picture of Bailey Boy.
The Grandmas are trying to talk us into going back to Amarillo this weekend. Traveling with a baby is crazy, as we found out Easter weekend. Hopefully I'll post pictures from the past couple of weeks this weekend.

Bluebonnets

The bluebonnets aren't around very long each year, so for fear that they would soon disappear, we headed out on a mostly cloudy day to take some pictures. Bailey sure didn't want to look at the camera. He was more interested in the little blue smelly things below him.... or maybe he was just wanting to eat his hand.

Travis wonders what everyone's obession is with getting pictures taken in the bluebonnets. There was a picture of a child in the bluebonnets on the front page of the local paper today. How many years do you take these type of pictures? How old is too old? Probably when Bailey would rather be rolling around in the grease with daddy instead of the flowers. Only time will tell, but that time may be sooner than later. He is growing up so fast!

No baby in this one, but I thought this was one of Travis's best shots (don't look too close or you will see the ugly power lines).

You're So Vain!

Bailey loves that his changing table is a dresser with a big mirror. He likes to look at himself and really giggles and coos when I sing "You're So Vain" to him. The song is all about Bailey!

First rainbow... and a view of Daddy's digging

It has been raining since Travis finished the backhoe (and a drought while he was working on it), so he hasn't been able to dig much. So far he has dug out the a terrace across the front yard. As soon as it stops raining for a while, he'll pour a concrete footing and continue building the stone wall. Notice the dirt yard? Beautiful isn't it? Actually, from the street, the yard looks pretty good because you can't see the dirt below.

Bailey's first rainbow.

Sleeping on the Job

Bailey is sleeping while Mommy works from home.

Big Kicker

I don't think I can post video, so this is the clostest thing to it. Bailey loves kicking. He pounds his legs down HARD! It's often the sound of him kicking that wakes me up bright and early in the mornings.

Easter Weekend

We finally made the a trip to Amarillo over Easter weekend (it had been over a year for me and 1.75 years for Travis since we had been to Amarillo). We typically take Stinky, so we have to pack up his kitty bed, litter box, food & water. Stinky usually takes up a lot of the back seat and part of the trunk (the back seat folds down so he has easy access to his litter box). Stinky didn't get to go this time, so Hairy the Rabbit really missed chasing Stinky around my Mom and Dad's house. Bailey's stuff took up all of the room, and of course we had more to bring home more than what we brought, thanks to all of the Grandmas (we DO appreciate it though). Travis made another trip to Amarillo two weeks later for his Dad's wedding so he brought back another load of stuff for Bailey then.

Bailey got to meet his Grandma & Grandpa Wilt for the first time! They came to see him all the way from northeast Missouri.

He also got to meet Reagan for the first time!

Dinner at Aunt Mindy's house: Next year he will be able to eat with the rest of us!

We had been enjoying the upper 70s in DFW. It was freezing in Amarillo! At least it was miserably cold in DFW too while we were away.

Bailey Rolled Over!

Travis and I didn't see it, but Grandma and Grandpa Gloe did! Bailey rolled over from his front to his back on 4/5/07.
