Laser Tag

Bailey LOVES laser tag. He asks to play it all the time. Here's Bailey and Travis on February 23, 2010. I'm not going to create a separate post for that day because you will get tired of laser tag posts.

Now Bailey is Kneenex Boy! I used to be called (and perhaps still am) Kleenex Girl. Bailey didn't have a fever, but Kleenex followed him wherever he went.

When Bailey was getting dressed today, he asked Travis for his Elmo shirt. Travis started looking through Bailey's drawers and couldn't find it at first. He asked Bailey "What's it look like?" Bailey responded "Has Elmo on it."

Longing for Grandma and Grandpa

Snow!

We got about 7 to 8 inches of snow on Feb. 11th and 12th. It's supposedly the most snow we've had in this area in 30 years! It sure beats the ice that we usually get.

Bailey's Week

Bailey had some fun this week and said a lot of funny things. On Tuesday Daddy took Bailey to watch some fighter jets land and take off. Bailey said that they "rumbled." Then they went to watch some trains at the train yard. Bailey is telling me to type "train engines" and "Ahhh trains."

This week he also told me about "skid marks" and that "toe jamb scary." He cried when taking his socks off because of the toe jamb. Bailey tells me to type "I don't like it." I'm not sure where this fear came from.

When Bailey responds "Yes," he typically says "Ahhh Yes." Travis and I had a new bed delivered this week with an adjustable base. Bailey says that the massage feature is "bumpy." Bailey telling me he had skid marks was definitely the funniest part of the whole week.

Bailey fell asleep at the table twice this week. The second time his knees were on his booster chair, his belly was on the arm of the booster chair and his head was on the chair next to him. Falling asleep while he is eating seems to be the only naps he gets these days.

I left my camera at Austin's birthday party last weekend, so we don't have any pictures from this week. I'll have to post pictures of the party soon.

Austin's Party

Austin's party was supposed to be on an actual steam engine train, but since it broke down, he had a petting zoo party instead. It was REALLY cold that day, with a high in the 30s. Bailey had all the fun he could take outside, then headed inside to play in Austin's room, while all of the other kids were still outside. It wasn't long before they joined him.

More Please Game

Watching and listening to Bailey play a game called More Please is very funny. Sammy the squirrel says "More please" and an acorn falls and hits her on the head. Bailey thinks it is the funniest thing. Then after five acorns fall, Sammy eats them all and has an upset stomach. Bailey loves that part too!

Beautiful Day

Bailey and I had a great day. It must have been in the upper 60s or low 70s today. It has been cold and miserable for a couple weeks, so today was a great change. Bailey rode his tractor, his bike and his big wheel. He took his big wheel down the street with me and we visited with some neighbors, played with a dog, a rabbit and a guinea pig, jumped on a trampoline, then watched some big boys jump (and just be boys - Bailey watched them in awe, longing to be a big boy too). We came home and went on a short drive with Daddy to test out the new door lock in his truck (mostly to check the non-rattling factor). Bailey was exhausted when we got home and slept for over 3 hours! I cleaned out my car a little, cooked dinner and posted to the blog while he was sleeping. He has helped me do a few more posts since he woke up.

Sorry I don't have any pictures of today. I'm relieved that the blog is mostly updated. It gets overwhelming when there are so many pictures to post. I may have a few videos to add later.

3 Year Old Checkup

Our little guy had his three year old checkup today. He is actually a little short and a little overweight for his height according to the growth chart. I'm not sure where this supposed extra weight it hiding... maybe in his chunky cheeks? He seems pretty skinny to me.

Height: 36 1/4"
Weight: 31 pounds

The doctor said that he'll probably end up tall and skinny.

Mobile Train Tracks and a Little Ham

This is a new Thomas train track from Lillie and Payton. It is Bailey's mobile track since the GeoTrax is so big. This one has been on the fireplace, floor, couch, kitchen chairs and kitchen table. It's rarely in an oval shape as seen here.

Safari Party

I was browsing the internet looking for a party place and Bailey really liked Indoor Safari Park. I actually was going to wait several weeks (or months) to have a party, but then decided to throw one together with only a few days notice. It was a little far to drive to get there for us and several party guests, but the kids all had a good time.

They had so much fun at the party, Bailey didn't have time to open his presents! Instead, Bailey and all of his cousins gathered in Travis's truckbed and opened birthday and Christmas presents there.
