Baby Snake

Travis found his baby snake in the yard tonight. We deemed it safe, so Bailey wanted to hold it. He won't pick up a toad, but he'll hold a snake with no problems.

We let the snake go in daddy's grass.

The snake was trying to bury himself in the short grass. He didn't have much luck.

Dressed himself

Bailey and I went shopping today. Before we headed in the last store, he put this sticker on his shirt. Note the strawbery stained face.

After he got up from eating dinner, I realized he had his shorts on backwards ALL DAY LONG!

He really didn't care.

Loving Stinky

Moon and Saturn

We headed outside tonight to look at the moon. After several tries, we found Saturn. We could see its rings.

Hitch, Trailer and Tractor

Jason has been requesting pictures of the trailer, so here you go (plus more).

This is the goose neck hitch that Travis made. The rectangle hitch in the middle was on a steel plate. Everything else was designed and made custom for his truck.

Hitch down.

Hitch up. Yes, it is dirty.

Travis headed to Amarillo to buy, then work more than he thought he would have to on this trailer. We got it for a good price, so he says it was worth the headaches.

Bailey got to stay in Amarillo to hang out with his Grandparents while Daddy headed to Missouri to pick up the tractor. When Bailey came home, the one of the first things he wanted to see was the tractor.

Fun in the Water

After running AROUND the sprayers for several minutes, Bailey finally decided to run through the water.

He headed straight to me to hand me his glasses, then went back in for more.

Attempt at sleeping in the yard...

Friday night seemed like a nice night to camp out in the front yard, so both boys, along with Mickey and Corn of course, attempted it. Inside the bivy sacks, it was too hot and humid, so they ended up coming inside. Bailey was surprised to wake up in his own bed.

All day Saturday, Bailey was obsessed with camping and making a tent. We made a make-shift tent out of a blanket and a pole. Saturday night, Bailey wanted to "camp" again, so we let him sleep in the bivy sack on his bed. He loved it!

Big Load

New Shed Here and Old Shed Gone!

Travis has hated his old shed ever since we moved to our house. It is short, so he would always hit his head and it is very small. We were thinking about buying a shed to use until the shop and storage room are built. Our neighbor had an extra shed in his backyard that was basically empty, so he said we could borrow it.

I wish I would have taken more pictures of the process to get the shed up on the trailer, then over to our yard. It consisted of using the tractor to lift it up, then putting tires underneath, then Travis backed the trailer underneath the shed. Sometimes it is very helpful to have a neighbor with twelve wheels and tires laying around.

Travis made a ramp to get up into the shed.
Bailey is posing with the shelves and yard tool holder that Daddy made. Of course is isn't allowed in here without me or Travis.

Travis wanted lots of pictures of the shed demolition. He is overly excited to be finally getting rid of this thing.
Bailey got to help too!

Travis has been smoothing off the ramp and surrounding areas so that it is more easily maintained. Hopefully we'll get some sod on this soon.

Bailey's Projects

I love his concentrating face.

These are the green beans he sprouted. It's time to plant them!

As I was posting, B wanted to use some of the editing tools, so here it is!

Here are B's green beans at the end of May. I think the rabbits are munching on them.
