Fun Night with B's Buddy

Austin spent the night tonight. It was the first time he has spent the night since Bailey got his big boy bed. Austin was just about asleep while I was still tucking Bailey in.

Here's Bailey singing. Austin thinks he is too loud.

Vacuum

Bailey really wanted to vacuum tonight. If only his vacuum would work a little better.

Update: On June 13th, Bailey's handle snapped off his vacuum. The hand vac still works, but I think the next one he will get will be a real vacuum cleaner.

Booster Booty

I took Bailey's booster chair off and put it in his closet for storage. Bailey got it out today and strapped it on. Travis had him hold his hands up so you can see what he did. What a goof!

Library Sale and the Park

It was half price day at the library book sale today, so it was really crowded. Bailey was a great sport, so we went to a local park.

There was a playground area for kids, but Bailey liked this area better. It was more of a military style workout area. He started to climb a big rope net wall, but I had to pull him down before he got too high! Here he is doing tricks.

Super Goon and Robot Dance

Here's Super Goon. Bailey and Travis had been going back and forth with "super goon" and "just B" for several minutes by the time I got the camera. That's why he starts out in the video by saying "Stop." I love these videos. I hope you do too.

Here's robot dancing.

Mother's Day Flowers

These flower are "from" Bailey. He got out of the car with them after shopping with Gary and Sylvie on Mother's Day. He walked up to me and said "Happy Mother's Day." Bailey is such a sweet little boy. I love him!

Loading Rocks

Travis fixed his tractor tonight and started moving rocks from our neighbor's yard over to another pile. Bailey wanted to help too, so he got his dump truck, loaded it up and moved the rocks to the other pile also. The next day, when Travis was using the backhoe, Bailey wanted him to fill up his dump truck with the backhoe.

Following in the Footsteps of his Daddy

Bailey is watching Papa sleep with a drink in hand, just waiting for Papa to spill the drink on himself. This fun game hasn't changed since Daddy was a little boy.
Bailey has already inherited Laser Tag, Transformers and a few Stars Wars toys from Travis, but the Lego's and other Star Wars were still in the attic. Uncle Chuck gave him a few sets yesterday, so Bailey and I opened them up and started playing with them today. Daddy couldn't resist and got his Legos down too (along with giant Star Wars toys and C3PO and Darth Vader boxes filled with ALL of the action figures).

Travis was up past 2:00 AM working on various Lego concoctions. Bailey enjoyed them when he woke up and is now obsessed with Legos, along with trains.

Andrew's Circus Birthday Party

Here are several pictures of Andrew's great circus birthday party. It's hard to imagine that this was a scaled down version. It was complete with a train obstacle course, popcorn machine, hot dogs, cotton candy and much more! Everyone had a great time!

Travis noticed that Avery likes to pose for the camera. Here's one shot. B getting attacked at the end of the train.

Bailey says "do it again!"

The birthday boy himself and Avery posing.

Avery posing by Andrew's cake.

Travis tried out the obstacle course.

and after few tries, so did Papa.

I think this is a sweet picture of Andrew. Happy Birthday!!!

The Snake and the Bird

Travis found a smooth green snake (aka grass snake) today. Bailey really liked it. He understands that some snakes are dangerous and to get away if he sees one outside in the yard.
Camouflage

Our neighbor found this bird. I, the one-time "bird lady" have no clue what kind of bird this is. If anyone knows, let me know.

Crazy Hair

Last night Bailey asked me to "hand dry" his hair instead of towel drying it or blow drying it. It was very fluffy when we went to bed. This is what it looked like when he woke up. He did NOT want his picture taken.

Tonight was a critter catching night.

Project Update

Because of our whole getting stuck episode, putting a winch on Travis's truck became a top priority. I didn't know he would end up building a new bumper in the process.

Custom machined parts by Travis. Hopefully I'll have a picture of the finished product soon. He also worked on a frame, bike rack and bottom for a new truck toolbox. I don't have any pictures of that right now, but is is done in the typical "under simplified" style of Travis (Travis' term for himself).

Here's how my ground cover is doing.

I'm ordering more tomorrow and hope to plant the other side of the steps next weekend which is over 700 SF. I'm not looking forward to my back hurting again. I'm not going to buy as much this time, yet I'm going to plant them closer together. I discovered that you can separate the plants and get an average of two plants from each one bought.

Here's the new tile in Bailey's bathroom. No more carpet!!!

While I was taking pictures, I realized that not many people have seen my new (used) car. It's a 2003 so it was relatively inexpensive, although I received some comments like "We better check the books" at work, which is funny since I'm the money lady AND a tight@$$. From what I've been told, BMW's in Germany are like the Fords and Chevrolets here. It doesn't have all of bells and whistles like my Impala had and has been a pain so far, although it is really fast!!
-
It only came with one key and I managed to lock the key in the trunk while Travis and Bailey were out of town. Even after the locksmith got into the car, the trunk pop button didn't work (a security feature). He really knew what he was doing and knew how to bypass it. I now have THREE keys!

Train Track and Hiding

Here's the giant, three level train track that Bailey and I made today.
The train tunnel reminded him of this Dora book.
He has a crazy memory!
Here's Bailey hiding. While I was counting to ten, he said "weight room," so it was not hard to find him.

"Cheese in the Mouth" and Tired Boy

Today when we were making lunch I got out the cheese and Bailey says "Cheese in the mouth" instead of "Can I have a piece of cheese please." It still makes us laugh to think about it.

_

While I was on the internet searching for a cabbage recipe, Bailey fell asleep on the floor next to me. He was tired from our busy day: signing up for swim lessons, shopping and going to a couple nurseries, went to see the ducks, played outside and planted more vinca minor.

Two Birds

Here's Bailey telling me about Reagan's birds, Bling Bling and Bling Bling (accent on second bling).

"Those ladies liked me."

Bailey and Travis had some errands to run in Fort Worth today. They stopped at Chili's for a late lunch. A table of women sat behind Bailey and Travis. When the women got up to leave, they said "Bye" to Bailey. He said "Bye" back, then turned to Travis and said "Those ladies liked me." He is definitely a ladies man!

They dropped by the "big park" to play before heading home.
