Fun Day

We had so much fun today and I took SO MANY pictures of videos that I just about shut down when it came time to choosing which ones out of the 50 or so pics and videos to post. Here's some to get it started!

I'll start with the end of the day, as I am very impressed at Bailey's artwork. I was cooking dinner and Bailey was drawing. I looked down to find this!

We went to the birthday party of a co-workers son. We were honored to be invited and Bailey had a wonderful time at Jumping Party! I had to join him on just about every single inflatable obstacle, as he was afraid to go alone. He did go through this train once by himself.

He started out watching Gaston open presents... then he got tired and cranky and it went down hill from there. He slept 30 minutes on the way home, then he was ready to play some more!

When we got home, Bailey decided that Clifford really wanted to ride Stinky.

In Cat Bed with Cat in the Hat

Yes, Bailey still uses a pacifier for his afternoon nap. Well, I got home from work and started cooking and Bailey found a pacifier. I told him that if he had a pacifier that meant that he had to go to bed (no walking around the house with a pacifier). I just assumed that he had gone to his room while I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready. I peeked around the corner to find Bailey in Stinky's bed reading "The Cat in the Hat."

Planting Groundcover

We planted vinca minor on half of the upper part of the yard today (about 850 SF with plants 2 feet apart). Man my hands are sore and we have 700 SF to go! We still have weeds to deal with on the other side, so it will be another two or three weeks before the other side will be ready for planting. I still need to buy 5 bushes and put down some stepping stones.... in due time.

Day at the Zoo

We headed to the Fort Worth Zoo on Memorial Day. Bailey's favorite part was watching an elephant give himself a bath.

This cute little grin he has is the result of Travis bouncing the stage coach.

I got a zoo pass, so we'll be going back at least 3 more times in the next year! :-)

2 Year Photoshoot

Yes, these are long overdue. Here's Bailey at his 2 year, 5 month photoshoot. He wasn't very good while I was figuring out what to order, so I think I didn't order some I should have and ordered some I shouldn't have. He kept getting the stroller and saying "Go." Overall, he was pretty good. He got have a lot of fun at the play area at the mall when we were done.

I like this, but didn't like that the reflection wasn't a miiror image. You'd think they would think of this sort of thing.

The boys are starting to play together! Actually, Bailey later realized that Austin could do all of the work and he could just relax. Bailey better not be turning into a free loader!

Hummer H2 Music Obsession

We rarely watch TV, but we all sat down for a little bit today and tried to find something somewhat stimulating to watch. Bailey got up out of his chair and hit the music button on his Hummer H2, then sat back down. He kept doing this routine over and over. Travis and I just kept looking at each other with the "What is he doing?" look. Very strange, but funny boy!

Big Gecko

Travis was running around like a little kid trying to catch this gecko. Bailey looked at him like he was nuts. I got video, but it was really dark and didn't show much. I'll have to try again when it's lighter outside. :-) Bailey didn't want to hold the gecko, but he got pretty close.

Crazy Tractor Driver

Finally, Bailey is REALLY into his tractor. He makes the funniest faces while driving and he like to go really fast. He has reverse figured out too (thanks to Daddy).

Always a Scene at our House

Burning weeds. Hopefully between the weed killer and the fire, they will die. Ground cover arrives next weekend!

Forms for the sidewalks. Notice the brown dirt? Travis has to excavate the white dirt and rocks (caliche) that wouldn't even grow weeds and replace with actual soil. He left the white dirt where the sidewalks are going.
God, please make it rain during the week instead of the weekends! Travis needs to get the front yard in.
