Bailey inherited lots of toys and clothes from Andrew and Avery. You'd think it was Bailey's birthday too. He loves the Sit N Spin, toolbench, Baby Tad, tricycle, books, clothes, etc. Thank you very much!!!!
The Sit N Spin got the best of him.
Spinning.

Elmo Tool Bench.

He loves it!

He was so exhausted from playing, but he WOULD NOT go to sleep. I tried his bed and our bed several times. Bailey even crawled under the coffee table for few minutes. I tried the clothes basket, which almost worked (until I took a picture). Our bed finally did the trick after almost 2 hours of failed attempts. I'm glad it's not usually this hard to get him to go down for a nap.

Andrew's Party and Bass Pro Shop

Today was Andrew's 4th birthday party! Bailey is still at the age where he is more of an independent player. Although there were several kids there, including all of his cousins, he was more interested in playing with all of the toys. He wasn't afraid of the bounce house this time, at least when I was in there with him.

First exposure to Wall-E.
Daddy liked Wall-E too.
We headed to Bass Pro Shop on the way home. Bailey loved the fish!

This is my favorite picture!

Bambi Face/Chalk Artist

Bailey goes through several emotions while watching Bambi, from concerned to laughing. Here is Bailey watching Bambi and Thumper on the ice.

Swine Flu Info

I don't know if this swine/avian/human flu is something to be concerned with or not, as there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Personally, I'm not too worried about it and am more concerned about the panic that our government and media are creating. This is the best article I've seen on the swine flu and what to do and not to do.

Critical Alert: The Swine Flu Pandemic – Fact or Fiction?

1976 Swine Flu Public Service Announcement
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iJLpe1tZl8

More people died from the vaccine than died from the swine flu (one person died). Many more were debilitated from the vaccine. Baxter International has been chosen to come up with the new swine flu vaccine. I don't trust Baxter as far as I can throw them and here's why (note that you did NOT hear about this in the main stream media): http://www.naturalnews.com/025760.html

Australian article saying WHO reporting 7 deaths, not 152.
http://www.smh.com.au/world/only-7-swine-flu-deaths-not-152-says-who-20090429-aml1.html

I'm sure we'll be seeing 2009 Swine Flu Public Service Announcements soon.

Turtle Sand Box

Bailey inherited a sand box and toys from one of our neighbors since their daughter was getting too old for it.

FYI - The brown stuff in the box is dirt that Bailey added to the sand (we thought it was cat poop too!).

Stuck and Skiing (George Foreman Style)

This is what happens when a little boy tries to do something he's not supposed to do by himself (get on the computer). Mommy had to rescue him from the chair.

These are the greese pans from my George Foreman Grill, which Bailey decided would be fun to use as skis.

Flowers, Fish & Dirt

Ta da! We have flowers!
Bailey in the bluebonnets. He wouldn't sit long enough for me to take a picture!

At the lake:
Bailey's face at the first sight of the fish... not too sure of it.

Touching the fish.

Proud face because he touched the fish.

Moving Dirt:
One shovel-full at a time. From the dirt pile, 20 feet over to the dump truck.
Into the dump truck.
Then DUMP!

And he did it again, and again, and again.....

March of Dimes Walk

Claudia, Mark, Reagan and Bailey at the March of Dimes walk. Bailey really likes Reagan!

This is totally unprompted. Bailey just broke out into a little dance after the event.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the March of Dimes in memory of tiny Maddox.

TEA Party Day

The TEA Party was a big success. I've seen estimates of 700-1,500 people at the one I attended (aka "Right Wing Extremists: see DHS Report that was recently issued, which even names our veterans as potential extremists). Me and several other people handled out a few hundred Citizens Rule Books/Pocket Constitutions. People were actually coming up to us asking for the info, until we ran out!

A small part of the procession.

A great shirt!

I really liked her sign!

Mine read Repeal the Fed: Support HR 833 on one side and Audit the Fed: Support HR 1207 on the other side. HR 1207 has 91 cosponsors as of 4/23/09 and has bipartisan support!!!

Drinking Cottage Cheese?

Bailey was trying to drink the last bit of his cottage cheese from the bowl as Travis was telling me the story about the chickens and ducks.

Missed Photo Op/March of Dimes

Bailey, Travis and Grandpa Gary went to Tractor Supply today and Bailey loved the baby chickens and ducks. Travis tried to get Bailey to hold a duck, but Bailey didn't like how the ducks feet felt on his hands. No pics, just a story...

Also, Bailey and I are participating a March of Dimes walk this weekend and I still need help raising money. Please help if you can. $5, $10, anything will be a big help.

My March of Dimes Website

I'll update the blog within the next week. It's been a busy month.

Tools

Any excuse to use a tool... even if it doesn't fit.
It helps if you open your mouth.
Side question... Does anyone think this knob could have caused Bailey's dimple? Ever since he had a literal "run in" with a knob (around Feb. 21), he has had a dimple on his left side, or maybe that's when I noticed it?. I've looked at past pictures and I don't see it.
This is a backhoe pin that Travis modified to fix his rake (and added an aluminum handle).

Between Bailey and Travis, there is never a lack of projects.

Saying Beetle

This word will come in handy since one of Bailey's nicknames is Beetle.

Dumping Water on Stinky

Stinky seemed to be oblivious the first time when Bailey dumped water on Stinky's back. I then started to record and got the second time recorded.... This will be a Bailey Classic.

TEA Party/MIAC Report/HR 875

Find out about your local TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party on April 15th. People from all political parties have participated in TEA Parties that have already happened around the country (so these shouldn't be Democrat bashing parties - these problems started a LONG time ago):
http://www.teapartyday.com/

Update: The Missouri Highway Patrol retracted the MIAC report

The Boys and Sod

Thanks to Grandma Dawn, Travis got to lay 8 pallets of sod on the sloped areas of the yard this past week, which wasn't easy since it rained before it was all put down (a muddy mess to lay the rest). Here's Bailey and Travis watching the sprinklers.

Bailey Pooped in the Potty!!!

For those without children, this may not seem like such a big deal, but this is definitely a milestone today. Twice today Bailey pooped in his diaper, said "Uh Oh" and pointed to his booty. This in and of itself was great because for once he recognized what he was doing in his pants.

After he woke up from his nap, I immediately put him on the potty. His diaper was wet, but I left him on the potty, playing with one of Travis's toy cars from his childhood while I went to get a March calendar to use as a potty calendar. I went back to the bathroom and put stars on all of the days that Bailey did #1 in the potty (had to guess for the beginning of the month). After I finished putting the stars on, I told him that if he pooped in the potty, he would get a big sticker. I checked his status to find that Bailey pooped in the potty! Bailey got a big, fuzzy duck sticker!

Here are some pictures of Bailey and his potty calendar (No I didn't take a picture of the potty!).

Bailey hugging the ducky sticker. How cute!

MIAC Report: It looks like I'm not welcome in Missouri

I really thought (and hoped) this report was fake, but since the State of Missouri has responded to the public's reaction, it must be real. Christians and those against abortion are called out, as well as those who supported Bob Barr, Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin.

Here's Chuck Baldwin's response:

"Missouri State Police Think You And I Are Terrorists by Chuck Baldwin March 17, 2009"
http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c2009/cbarchive_20090317.html

Here's a link to a great blog that has links to an AP article about the MIAC Report.:
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/03/missouri_police_given_chilling.html

And a rant to help me feel better....

What has this nation come to?

There seems to be a sort of "great awakening" going on right now; people knowing that what is going on in this country isn't right. Our government is spending money like crazy at the detriment of future generations and people are fed up. Tea Parties are popping up everywhere (one coming up on April 15). I encourage everyone to learn as much as you can right now. The "Educators of Liberty" link at the side has some great educational resources. I recommend going to Ecomonics and watching "Fiat Empire" to start with (about the Federal Reserve). Know the Constitution, read the Bible, just learn! People are quick to blame one party of the other. Both the Republicans and the Democrats are to blame. Who elected them? Us! This complacency that has overcome this once great country has got to end NOW. Wake up America! You are on your way to becoming the USSA! FYI - The Communist Party USA agrees.

UFF: Unidentified Flying Fork

We really aren't sure what Bailey is doing here. We only could guess that he was making noises for his unidentified flying fork. This went on for several minutes. Very strange!

Train, Park and Stinky

On the way to the park, we were the first car stopped at the train crossing. Watching the train go by was the highlight of Bailey's day.

Bailey at the park

Bailey has been saying "Stinky" for several weeks (sounds more like "Kiki")

Bed Fort & Crazy Faces

We already have had a busy morning... All before 8:00 AM! Bailey woke up around 7 AM, went to the potty, ate his cereal, then we made a bed fort.
I went to grab the camera to take pictures of the fort. I came back and he was doing a version of his "ugly face" but it's not the best one he has.
Here's Bailey in the fort.

Some pictures of him being silly.

Video of Bailey playing on the fort.

I love you?

Bailey loves this post on Kyndall and Avery's blog and likes to watch it over and over. It sounds like Bailey tries to say "I love you" while he watches it.

Blowing Dandelions

Bailey discovered dandelions today. He tends to blow up more than straight out, so he was getting a little frustrated.
